The Young Farmer
...got a call from Angie, one of the owners of beauty and tanning salon, Halo. Angie now had numerous scared employees. At first, the gals were joking around about him. After awhile the pranks from their unseen friend started to make them nervous. Things like hairdryers going on and off, towels coming off shelves, as if they were being pulled off and tossed to the floor- no one being around the dryers or the towels. Footsteps heard in a little used hall after other businesses were closed for the day and their employees long gone. Many tools were moved around every day- even the candy by the cashiers station was tossed about. A few of the girls felt someone come up behind them and breathe in their ear while they were working on a client. The stylist would look in the mirror in front of her and see no one standing behind her- just feeling a presence standing there. Enough was enough for these gals. One night after the salon closed for the day, I met Angie there. I walked through the salon protecting the place. Before protecting the front entrance, I made the light for our mischievous friend. The earthbound spirit here was a young man, teens to early 20s, wearing denim overalls. He looked like he just came from working on a farm. He was a little reluctant to go into the light; after all, he was having a blast here. He got a lot of energy from scaring the stylists. I suspected by how much energy he had to pull off all his pranks, that he not only was visiting this salon, but many of the other businesses in the building. He probably made quite a few people jump. I continued to make the light. A farm like setting appeared in the background- a meadow with grasses and wild flowers, rolling pastures-quite lovely and peaceful. I felt a person named Maria was there to meet him at this doorway. The mischievous, young farmer went into the light. Angie was relieved to know her ghost was gone and her place of business could get back to normal.
